Recently played both games (SA to completion, VC almost bc I couldn't get the final mission and robbery missions).
Was wondering if you ever played these games after childhood and had some thoughts about which one is your favorite?
SA probably the most nostalgic for me but the first time I actually got to the interesting moments of the game (leaving Los Santos) was in high school. VC I only played seriously rn for the first time and it's great.
I think the gameplay in SA is better they definitely improved on stuff like more bikes and flying, also the driving is easier. Also ofc the world is much bigger which is both good and bad (a lot more driving).
However I like the 80's feel of VC and the game is very consistent with mostly great missions (SA a bit more inconsistent). Also great music and radio.
Still giving it to SA just bc of plot being more engaging and overall a more satisfying game to play. What do you think?
Also name your favorite or least favorite missions, and your fav radio station!
Mine is Flash/Emotion off VC and Radio X/Los Santos off SA.
loved both but SA>
Overall it was just a much larger and much more refined game. The gameplay was greatly improved upon, there was much more to see and do, the story was arguably better than VC, the characters were much more memorable, the world was way bigger and more diverse and exciting to explore.
that's a hard one but I'm gonna go with GTA Vice City
The vibe and soundtrack of Vice City was just too good.
Hardest mission for me in GTA SA used to be N.O.E. which is the one where you fly an airplane low and have to plant a bomb.
This was sooooooo hard for me and finally realized you don't have to go through the forest you can just take a longer route and fly above the ocean the whole time. Feel dumb used to crash into trees all the time.
San Andreas
San Andreas easily. I even like 3 better than Vice City.
Vice City’s soundtrack is crazy though

the one where you fly the toy plane and have to shoot the vans and fly back to zero's store makes me soooo mad. if that wasn't in the game i'd probably replay SA story front to back like twice a year

Just so you know, Zero's missions are not mandatory you can finish the story without it.
However I kinda enjoy this mission now that I know how to fly a plane. But the next mission where you have to fly a toy helicopter is annoying.

wait whaaaat i didn't know that
Best missions in SA are either Just Business where you kill Russians with Big Smoke, or Black Project which is where you steal the jetpack.

Can you expand on why you like 3 more?
Ion like comparing two bad b****es
I wont em both

Just Business is the mission where yall get chased by the Russians on motorcycles thru the drain tunnels?

Yes
Not sure about best mission in VC but I like the one where you're ambushed by a bunch of taxis and have to survive for a full minute.
Vice City favorite radio stations: Fever 105, VCPR, Wildstyle, Emotion 98.3
San Andreas favorite radio stations: Bounce FM, K-Jah West, CSR 103.9, Master Sounds 98.3
Like if you ever get a chance to look the playlist for those stations they forreal got so many f***in jams bro. It's actually amazing they ain't blow the budget for those games on the music alone.
All of Cesar's missions in San Andreas are f***in trash. Just boring ass driving and racing missions. And that f*** nigga will literally have you drive out to the middle of nowhere for a long ass time. AND he just f***in takes the car and leaves you there far from everything

Enjoyed the atmosphere way more. It was gritty, and kinda reminded me of the first Max Payne game. Had a mysterious vibe to it similar to a lot of early PS2 games around that time.
The gangs were intimidating & didn’t f*** around (especially the Mafia with the shotguns). The pedestrians were great with their memorable voice lines & made the city feel more alive than VC to me. The cops seemed like actual cops.
The difficulty of the missions were harder. Claude was pretty much a muted hitman which added to the vibe of the game.
Although Vice City had the better story & features.

Agreed. But the one where you steal cars with nitros is kinda cool.
