San Andreas is the better game

Vice City was the better aesthetic

Toy plane mission one of thw worst things in all of gaming.

Going through SA right now myself. Havent played Vice City fully yet. After SA.

San Andreas is massive (and better on a technical level etc) but I knew every inch of the city in vice by heart which made for such legendary chases with the cops including the super cop who had Superman speed

Mastered the game so good I finished it with the samurai sword only

So yeah San Andreas better game but vice city better experience overall

SA is just the most refined I also loved that SF and LV were areas in SA. The gameplay was much better too

GTA5 really missed the oppurtunity to have SF and LV dlc

And I think even 3 had a better aesthetic than SA but it had the worst gameplay of the 3 easily

Plus 4 was clearly better than 3 but people still talk about SA and 5

Vibes and soundtrack makes Vice City a 10/10, perfect video game

San Andreas is a better game in every way although I personally enjoyed Vice City more back in the day

The plane had the worst driving physics.

My take on the train mission it was hard when I was a kid but rn I can do it first try

same, still think the rc mission in vc is harder

Oh yeah lol did not pass that when I was younger

I know how to do it now, would still call it hard

San Andreas, objectively (in terms of gameplay mechanics, scope of map, things to actually do) is the better game

But idk. Besides IV, Vice City is my favorite because it's really the only GTA game (besides Vice City Stories, ironically) where the main focus is building a crime empire. You can do the gang s*** in SA, but it's much to be desired in terms of actual asset building and having your gang actually advance outside of repetitive gang wars/tagging (which has it's own merit and fun, but those aren't my thing)

Plus, so cliche about Vice City, but the aesthetic/style is what makes it stand out to me so much. Really, one of the first pieces of media that started the 80's nostalgia trend, which say what you will, doesn't feel forced or anything. Idk, San Andreas is still great and the modding scene is crazy, gameplay wise I'd rather play that....but story/feeling like a true crime lord, Vice City is the way to go.
