    Clb was better

Yes but also that got hated on release too

CLB has the closest argument for that TC / NWTS / IYRTITL run with a concise tracklist

  • it's a grower, a lot of heat on it

  • Oct 11, 2023

    Classic

  • Oct 11, 2023

Forgettable except for three or four tracks. Hardly anything on it that resonates emotionally or musically.

  • Oct 11, 2023

    the album came and went

  • Oct 11, 2023
    Unforgivable

Only kept 4 songs on it

    -First Person Shooter
    -IDGAF
    -Slime You Out
    -8AM in Charlotte

Would have added Another Late Night if Yacthy didn't ruin it

    same

i judge albums by how many songs i save from it to my library

based on this, scorpion is my favortie drake album

  • Oct 11, 2023

Only liked 8 AM In Charlotte and FPS.

  • its a f***ing classic!

Here is my review I posted in the main thread:

“So I’ve sat with it for a minute now and I think I can properly asses it. This album somehow simultaneously makes an argument for his least substantive work to date and his most entertaining.

I say least substantive because there is a lot of low hanging fruit here lyrically and musically and there is very little insight from a guy we would only assume has gained some wisdom in his decade and a half at the top. His refusal to delve deeper into who he is beneath the persona kinda makes it hard to connect with him.

I say most entertaining because every single track is addictive as f***. Str8 up. Every track may not be a creative spectacle but they all find their way under your skin and before you know it you’re hooked.

Drake is unhinged, blunt, and hilarious throughout, more so than we’ve ever heard him imo. His flows his delivery and his different cadences are also at peak levels on this project which adds a lot of intensity. There is a sort of visceral quality to his performances on this project that is really engaging.

Although the production doesn’t push any boundaries or move things forward at all it always serves as the perfect backdrop for the emotion or theme that Drake and company are attempting to tap into and overall this feels like one of his better produced projects.

Overall I like this project a lot and though I understand some of the criticisms regarding the immature subject matter I think the good far outweighs the bad.

    7.5/10”

    Incredible project as per usual

I would be tomato red if I yet again acted like an idiot on drop to come around later and say oh it was good

  • Oct 11, 2023

The first 8 or so songs are pretty good. After Smile you out its like thw whole album becomes mush that bleed into each other track and I can't even tell some tracks apart. Until Gently that is embarrassing then away from home abd polar opposites are really good.

Like every Drake album since 2016, it’s fine

Not terrible, but not anything special

It’s okay middle of the road

Very enjoyable album but it's not a top 5 Drake album.
Overhated by straight up haters and by people who think they have a deep understanding of rap
