Again I gotta reiterate, it was Comic Con this weekend. Marvel went and announced like 11 projects and put out news about the others. Not all of which got their own thread.

Same thing happened last year and the year before with DC Fandome. They announced a lot of news for multiple projects, so those threads got updates and some were created. I will guarantee you that The Avengers threads won't be up top past this week because there won't be any news.

We even made the decision to turn the Marvel TV thread into an overall Marvel Studios thread to keep general conversation in there.

New threads aren't being made about each individual TV show, that's already a decision that was made when Marvel went and announced like 10 shows. At this point only the movies are getting their own threads.

Threads are already sliding down and by the end of this week the only one that might still be at the top is the general Marvel thread.

It isn’t clogged up though. The section has gone back to relative normalcy since this thread has been made. There’s like 2-3 days out of the whole year where Marvel threads are gonna be dominating/clogging the section.

For the rest of the year the only Marvel threads doing numbers are the ones that correspond with whatever show/movie is out.

Someone be sure to put trigger warnings on all marvel threads

I will warn y'all now D23 is in September and there will be a lot of Marvel news and announcements. Don't get mad when this section is full of Marvel that weekend and then it'll die down because The Woman King will be out the week after.

I HOPE y'all big that thread up that week 1. because it looks good and 2. if y'all are so anti-Marvel, big up something else that week

You’ve won the culture. These movies dominate the conversation. They’re universally praised by mainstream critics and loved by general audiences. People flock to see them. Again you won. You’re not nerds defending your obscure hobby, you’re at the top. You’re the average. The normal. The thing everyone knows about. Why do you always get so absurdly defensive over these movies by the relatively minuscule group of people who criticize them?

im kinda over MCU and i havent seen the last few movies, but i did really enjoy following it through endgame. winter soldier, civil war, infinity wars, GOTG...these were fun movies.

one thing that does bother me about MCU fans on twitter especially is the anger directed at people who don't lavish it with praise, and the kind of persecution complex that they have about like..scorsese and others who have said some fairly harmless stuff about the movies.

like..it dominates the culture, take up so much space at the box office its impossible to ignore, in every possible way you've won...but it seems they need everyone to LOVE it otherwise they take it as a personal affront...just fandom culture in general these days, but it stands out with marvel. not everyone has to like it and the outsized impact it has had on hollywood the past decade
