Friday Part 5 ending is the worst horror ending ever tbh. It’s not like “oh this ending sucks so it ruined the movie” it literally ruined the movie for half of the fandom

My favorite Friday The 13th film. Most fans of that franchise seem to love that movie now, it’s for sure grown on people like Halloween 3 and Nightmare on Elm St 2. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter that it’s not Jason in the ending. It’s a guy in a hockey mask picking off teens in the woods. It’s blood and b**** every other minute. It’s basically the most Friday The 13th of Friday The 13th movies.

I’ve been on Friday The 13th and horror forums for years and I’ve seen the opinion of it completely change. Watched like 5 different retrospective review series for the franchise from huge fans and all of them said it’s great. Most podcasts covering it also praise it now too.

Without the ending I think the movie sucks personally and the ending caps it all off to make me never want to watch it
If they took Michael’s mask off in this movie and it wasn’t him I would’ve walked out
Just finished watching halloween 2 for the first time, film is a classic. Loomis a real one
I will give Friday part 5 a fresh chance next time I go through the series though Bc I know it has lots of fans
Dr Loomis was getting trigger happy. Couldn't tell him s***, 2 guns up at the end
as much as i dont like Friday part 5 i would much rather watch that than Freddys Dead
freddys dead is easily the worst movie out of the big 3 for me

Well that’s cool. I hope you like it this time.
I’m with you on Halloween Kills, it was good.

I genuinely think Friday 5 is just a good exploitation movie so it’s not a “guilty pleasure” for me. Freddy’s Dead on the other hand is pretty goddamn bad and I’ll agree with you on that but I do sort of like it as a total cartoony farce. At that point in the franchise I’m like f*** it just give me Freddy as a total comedian. I prefer it to the remake which feels so lifeless and like nobody involved cared about it.
What’s y’all’s personal canon
Rn I like 1978, H2, H20 (fuck Resurrection lmao)
But the current timeline could overtake it depending on how Ends turns out

Friday 5 is the Roy Burns one right? That movie is fun but there's certain things that just don't make sense even for a Friday movie IMO

Bruh Ressurection ruins H20 sooooo much lmaoo

I think it makes sense enough. Jason had died in 4, that was supposed to be the end of his character. The sequels were going to be about different people becoming almost possessed by Jason’s memory with the hockey mask. People complained so they brought him back as a zombie. It really is like Halloween 3 lol

I don’t really like the post Scream qualities of H20 and I think it just doesn’t work with the 2nd film for consistency reasons. Normally that stuff doesn’t matter to me but it’s so silly that Michael’s burnt and his eyes are shot out in 2 but in H20 you can clearly see his eyes are back and his face is fine lol. I kinda like the Thorn Trilogy even if I think 4 is an overrated dud. In the logic of that continuity Michael can be revived so his injuries healing makes sense. Personally I’ll just stick with 1 and 2.

Nah it's not that. It's the Roy Burns aspect bro.
1) The reason he takes on Jason's identity is to get revenge for his son's death, but he never kills the guy that actually kills his son.
2) After his son Joey is killed they clearly state in the movie that the kid never knew his dad but yet when we find out Roy is his dad, he has up to date pictures of Joey as a young adult in his wallet. How did he get those pics if they never interacted with each other?
3) They also said Joey was abandoned as a child, shuffled around until he ended up in a halfway home in the same town his dead beat dad works as a paramedic?
Lol like it's too much weird s*** with one plot twist even for a Friday movie
