It'll drop Nov 15, 2026 (a Sunday and as close as possible to the 25th anniversary of the Sorcerer's Stone releasing in theaters)
not to mention in book 6 we get the history of the marvalos and gaunts
That’s probably what I’m looking most forward to in this whole tv series tbh
He definitely has a place in the universe again, but not as Sirius or Dumbledore.
Idk I feel like if you throw a beard on his Slow Horses look, he’s basically Dumbledore lol
🙄
My fav casting push I’ve seen so far is Cillian Murphy to play Voldemort
Feel like he’d nail it

Ralph‘s nephew Hero, who played young Tom Riddle in HBP would be the perfect casting choice imo. You have to remember we won’t see Voldemort for at least another 10 years from now. And I hope they flash out his character like they did in the sixth book so you need a young looking guy for the part.

Wat
Voldemort is 72 when he dies lol
Also (not that there needs to be another reason, because a 30 year old playing adult Voldemort is a non starter) a nepotism hire just to connect it to the movies is dumb af
Anyone here listen to The Watch? Andy Greenwald got hired to be a part of the writers room apparently.
Not entirely sure how I feel because he’s made some comments a few months ago that he never got into Harry Potter, but at the same time I know he’s a pretty well respected writer (Sam Esmail liked him enough to produce the show he made a few years ago)
So pumped that we’re finally going to be getting official casting info over the next few months
I like Mark Rylance a lot
Ngl, the only movie that I’ve seen him in is Ready Player One (and I don’t even remember his performance of Halliday lol). Not that that means he’s a bad choice, just pretty surprising. What do you think makes him a good Dumbledore?
Also, bears in mind that it’s early stages and media is desperate for casting news to report, so they’ll jump the gun with rumors — he may not end up signing on
If he is chosen, it’s kind of a wake up call to everyone that has been fancasting A List stars in each of the major roles
Ultimately this is a TV show, not a movie, and so they are not going to have the budget to cast these major stars at each role like the movies did given that there are so many characters in this show

Yeah I think article said he’s on the wishlist but they haven’t begun negotiations or anything
This would be an incredible choice tbh!
