ohhh they know exactly what theyre doing with this tweet
Hollywood's fear of having all-white casts is getting ridiculous now. As a black man, I promise you that we don't care if there's black people in Harry Potter
I promise you I do.
this is so primordially racist to care about actor's skin color in a piece of media like holy s*** this is some vintage grandpa we dont take kindly to your types round here racism. like this is straight up frontal lobe racism not even some intricate systemic force type
I promise you I do.
I mean I guess it would be cool to have a new original character that was black but it's not something I cared about while watching the Harry Potter movies. Just like with Game of Thrones, I never watched that s*** and thought "Why isn't there a black person in this s***?". Then taking established characters and changing their race for seemingly no reason other than forcing diversity to get some brownie points? It's not like they're making him black to add a new dimension to his character

Low key, you’re right. This is blatant pandering/virtue signaling. Nobody cares about this.
Snape, Voldemort, and Sirius Black are the best adult male roles in the franchise tbh

Dumbledore, Lupin, Moody, and McGonagall are pretty important as well.

Wasn’t ranking their importance just the most fun to play as an actor

Ah, I get you. In which case Snape and Voldemort are definitely the most fun to take on. I do think Dumbledore can be fun if this series explores his backstory more and doesn’t shy away from his morally grey tendencies.

That’s true Dumbledore can be an interesting one if they stick closer to the books. Female adults I think the most interesting character to play is easily Bellatrix but who else do you think? Mrs Weasily maybe?

Bellatrix is the obvious choice. Whoever gets cast as her will have a blast no doubt. I think Umbridge and Mrs. Weasley would probably be the other two. Unfortunately there isn’t much to characters like Tonks or Narcissa Malloy, even in the books.
Until he’s outed to be a fake then he becomes boring
That really f***ed me up in the books man. Fake Moody was a legend

How’d I forget about Umbridge. That’s a good one especially with only a one season commitment it’d make for an attractive role

Lmao fr Fake Moody was fun. He kinda fades into the back after

Whoever is cast as Umbridge needs to do the role justice. If I don't want you Avada Kedavra'd or Crucio'd into submission then you didn't make me hate you enough
What we race swapping for the big 3?
Harry gotta be black
Ron asian
Hermione some kind of Hispanic, maybe Puerto Rican or Mexican
