Idk why but something tells me they won't make it to book 7 unless they force it. The ratings won't be enough to justify it
They can't make this a Stranger Things type phenomenon for 7 years especially with the fact that there are already 8 beloved movies

By season 3 they’ll abandon their “one book per season” philosophy and we’ll somehow get Azkaban/Goblet/Phoenix all in one season.

It’ll be cancelled before season 3

If a ton of people watch it it will go the opposite direction of what you’re saying.

Tbh Alan Rickman was by far best casting decision in the films
I feel like he was genuinely irreplaceable . If you get another white dude with the greasy black hair they just gon feel like a cheap imitation so from that POV if they completely switched lanes i wouldnt be opposed to seeing a completely fresh take on it
Maybe it's cause he passed i feel like that tho. But I cant imagine another version of Snape.
I’ve said this in here before but — as amazing as Rickman was, his version of Snape was not at all the original version of Snape in the book. The real Snape was a MUCH bigger a****** to children. To the point where I see him as a villain even though his sacrifice saved Harry (really just cause he loved his mom though) . Rickman’s Snape was way more easy to be sympathetic towards.
So they 100% had the chance to cast a great Snape here that is totally different from Rickman’s portrayal and more faithful to the books. But it looks like they may not be doing that
Yall are tripping
Right, these fools got severe Twitter brain thinking this will be cancelled

I don’t know if the show will be canceled at some point, but I do think people are underestimating how much this show has to overcome. When most people think “Harry Potter,” they think of the aesthetic, cast, and music of the movies.
Even the hardcore book purists respect the movies for what they are. I’m sure there is an audience for more faithful adaptations of the books, but I can’t shake the feeling that this show won’t be what Warner Bros. wants it to be. Overcoming things like Alan Rickman and John Williams instantly iconic score is an unenviable task.
A stern african man can definitely play Snape.
I’m re-reading Goblet of Fire right now .. I’m only 1/6th of the way through and there’s SO much s*** they left out of the movie already I’m excited to see a lot of these characters / plot points brought to life finally

I’m a book purist — I respect the movies for the production value and using the massive budget well in the same way I respect that from Marvel movies.
That’s about all I can say for the movies though.
And I would imagine a lot of book purists feel the same. Most of the people that love the movies never got into the books (like read them once, never had a deep connection with them) and/or don’t appreciate good filmmaking.

I agree. I think the best thing that they can do is to do something completely different than the movies. That includes aesthetic, music etc. It needs to stand out on its own.
I don’t like this guy. At all.
This has me dying right now

All the films did that unfortunately, they're great for what they are but I'd love an animated series instead of what were getting now
