dozens and dozens, over a hundred? not sure but possibly. seen people die as I was actively trying to save them. dead bodies are like kisses, you'll always remember your first one but after a while all they become blurs

I've always been great at dealing with death tho

wtf who are u the dark knight

That’s terrible, sorry fam. What’s ur profession?

worked in the ICU for a long time theres some units where you either transfer patients to another unit or to the morgue. there wasn't any going home

and when you're in the ICU you're part of the code team that responds to any cardiopulmonary arrests in nearby units as well

I don't mind death cus at the end of the day I know I did all I could to help. the only thing I don't like is when selfish family members leave there 90+ year old frail and sick relatives on full code and then it becomes my responsibility to break their sternum tryna keep them alive doing chest compressions

    just torture at that point

  • Not me but my dads grandpa died right in front of him when he was younger

I was an RN but I’m sure everyone working in healthcare has seen their fair share

    Even hospital housekeeping and security

I feel like EMTs see the most wild s*** tho

I was riding my motorcycle back on the comedown of a real wild experience in the mountains when i came across a pretty fresh car accident. Cops was there but the body was just lying in the middle of the opposite lane.

Also saw a dead body in the street in China. Just lying there with a great big pool of blood under they head. Nobody was stopping.

Neither as intimate as your experience. sorry op that sounds rough

I'm an RN so I've seen patients literally die infront of me, oddly enough you kinda get desensitized to it when you work in ICU/EMERG

luckily not dead yet, but fighting for her life/unconcious
my gf last yr, tried to commit suicide by hanging, luckily i could see her from outside to save her, but yeah its a sight you will never forget

cold blue skin tone, foam around the mouth, cold touch

its then u realize, how every second on this earth counts
and i remember, even after undoin her from the rope, when the paramedics came in, u are still in straight delusion
cause ur thinkin, this is someones life? this is someones heart.
And every second u mightve hesitated or second guessed, is quite literally that second too much fatal

and even then, u still arent speakin about the possible life long injuries one might suffer from, survivn such incident...

im just happy shes alive, very happy, true moment of God

Saw a guy commit suicide from jumping. Tbh it didn't really affect me at all and the only thing that went thru my head was "damn he actually did it" and I went on about my day. Not sure if I'm just really desensitized or this is how my brain deals with tragic events. I went to eat right after and was pretty surprised I could still enjoy my meal.

My teacher had a heart attack in the middle of class. Died on the spot. He had this smile on his face and he looked hella peaceful

I've been forced to somewhat forget about it all
    She's alive and well yeah
Been heavy periods after that too, just trynna forget it ig
Plus her family been very hostile ever since, threatening me and my own family, haven't even ever received a thanks for saving ur daughters life literally
So yeah all stacks up, all that trauma and u have to do something with it since u can't talk to none bout it

    Very traumatic overall situation
