Bruh as a brown person trust me it was bad in the early 2000's
Rocket Singh GOATED
The racists in the comments are real people most of the time. It's a small sample size but socials really do reflect our societies
I agree I’m not saying there’s no racism. But it is well documented that a small amount of people make a huge percentage of the tweets, and from that alone I don’t think we can say it really reflects society. I also disagree with the assumption that race relations are getting worse
Blast these mfs into the 80s and see if they're still asking this question
bruh i ain’t talking about the 80s or 90s when asking this lol. im talking about a brief period right before social media really started poppin was when i thought s*** was getting better

So the 00s/early 10s? Dont think so
"political correctness" wasn't as important as it is now. Casual racism and police brutality could have happened with no repercussions because it wouldn't go viral on social media. Racism still existed, there was just less attention paid to it.
Racist encounters are well documented now, which is why it seems like theres been such a spike. However, its always existed
Bro did you not use the internet or anything before social media became what it is today?
Yts was saying the n word for fun thinking that s*** was funny until social media could actually call them out. Why do you think everybody’s memories of Xbox live is white people calling them the n word who do you think they learned that from? YouTube comment sxns, gaming forums were all hella racist.
Why do you think idiots like Shane Dawson not getting cancelled from their past videos? Cause they were racist, and pedophilic but nobody to really call him out.

yes i do realize that but my dumbass just chalked those ppl as teenage gaming losers that would grow out of it. boy was i wrong.
Social media is the #1 place people are encountering misinformation.
I think that you can point to that fact alone and claim that social media has helped create social tension in our country.

What makes you think they are getting better in that case?

In the past 10 or 15 years, I’m not sure I would say they’ve gotten better, but I also don’t think they’ve gotten notably worse.
But if we look at the past 75 years (which is still in living memory) instead, it’s clear that things have gradually improved overall.

Ahh yeah of course when you put it that way very positive of you, but OP is speaking on social media so he means in the last decade or so i'm sure.
Social media is nothing but a visual of the race relations created by making a highway for racist to get their views from Incest Town, Alabama out to New York Twitter users
