Despite many projects coming out from major artists, the musical landscape seems lacklustre this year. I find myself listening to less Hip Hop this year and dabbling more into international sounds. Anyone feel Hip Hop has been slowing down?
Music ended when Kanye burned the house down
I agree but I think we probably just getting tired of that s***
Younger generations love this s***
I don’t think they as active and as engaged with the culture as we were at that age in the blog era tho (speaking for my fellow millennials ofc)

Maybe not as a whole, but the niche communities are going strong on their discords.

Bad Bunny is from a US territory and signed to Universal
There has yet to be that jaw dropping, A+ level album, but other than that things have been fine

nah 2022 has been one of the best in a long time imo
for hip-hop? perp left it out of the title but he's talking rap
As I grow older I don't listen to as much hip hop because the genre itself gets boring when they talking about the same thing
The artists that are not talking about the same thing take 3-4 years to drop a solid project so naturally I will expand to listen something else
Hip hop always in rotation but I don't have the same focus anymore
Paradoxically it's the highest it's ever been and it'll probably even get higher
Easily the best genre ever

Gotta say I been enjoying the music 2022 has offered so far
