Weird looks when you mention "R&B" when nightcore Baby Osama Nettspend pervades..
This stuff clearly sounds good to people.. maybe we just don't get it..
White people stuck their hands too deep into the pot and streaming stirred it up even more..
Making the frequencies so sweet it's sickly to us and so sharp it's grating to us, but the youth eats it up...
Kendrick last good album 2015.. Cole 2016.. Drake 2022, and 2015 before that..
Kanye an empty shell of his former self, releasing unfinished trash since 2016..
Travis never topping DBR and being commercialized into oblivion..
Weeknd giving up on making good music after Kiss Land...
PARTY never came back after he went MOBILE...
What went wrong... all of that talent just withering away as fans coped..

travis never topping dbr and the weeknd gave up after kiss land is prolly the funniest s*** i’ve ever read
Bro up in the middle of the night just rambling. Get some sleep man.
Just played counter strike for 14 hours straight

Humor... yes... Copa Mundial..
The final indicator for the end of an era will be if Hov's new album tries to pander to trends.. then we'll know it's truly over
I’m tired of niggas acting like DAMN. wasn’t a good album
Wow I completely forgot about that
Nonetheless.. pretty good album but nowhere near TPAB...

I actually disagree with the nowhere near part and tpab is probably my fav album ever
I get the sound of DAMN. isn’t as obviously good as TPAB but DAMN. is such a well crafted and written album it can hang with all his other albums imo. I really was impressed with how he balanced accessibility with writing some of his most introspective and depressing songs ever
chance was the next traditional hip hop star in the lineage of drake and kanye
He f***ed up his rapper persona and flopped while Drake and Kanye gave in to sounding more like the rest of the game
That + the overall death of mainstream media being a connected thing that everyone was tuned into at the same pace + no non trap street rapper under 25 being prominent since 2016 =

I wouldn't have agreed with you right after the album came out but
I'll admit a case can be made now, it aged well
and as I’m sure we’ll soon see in this thread instead of acknowledging that there’s a “thing” going on with rap most just say niggas washed for feeling that way and give in to accepting and promoting mediocrity (see Ebro and Joe budden)

Yeah I liked DAMN. upon impact but theres a lot of layers to the album i found over time
It really never fully left my rotation tbh, and I think it made sense as a follow up to TPAB doing something more direct. I think he always follows a highly conceptual album with a more accessible one

Pretty derivative music there. Don’t like Kendrick Lamar AT ALL, but I can at least appreciate the originality of something like TPAB, but damn was that damn album nothing but derivative “mainstream/trap radio hit” sounding s***
Lol
Niggas will go in circles instead of avoiding the answer of rewarding niggas who can actually rap

If you don’t like Kendrick Lamar at all idc about your opinion on anything
