    You’re totally right. For the past 5 years I’ve tried every med there is witht no good results, with the only notable effect being a huge numbing of my emotions which is not good as my previous therapist referred to my intense emotions from my bpd as my “super power”

    I don’t take anything anymore except for lamictal and gabapentin, though I’m thinking about quitting the lamictal cuz I think that s*** numbs emotions somewhat too. I’m on ketamine treatment twice a week rn. Is there any good meds you recommend looking into for unstable emotions, extreme mood swings, and heavy depression with suicidal ideation?

    It's all relative to where you're at with the mood disorder and finding a combo. Prescription meds for me I'm on 4 different ones. Some I tried in the past and they didn't work then but they do now. I've been on Seroquel at 50mg, 400mg, and now 200mg and it's been completely different each try over literally 10 years

    I love my lithium but I'm getting off gabapentin. Clonodine has actually been a big help but it's an off label for this stuff, kind of like how gabapentin is though

    I'm glad ket treatment is finally becoming normalized. I've been saying for so many years it's going to be the next big thing

    But there's so many different classes of d**** that can be tried, most doctors seem the most hell bent on gabapentin + SxRI and I hate that. Never worked for me and took ages to get on different classes.

    I'll mention DBT style therapy can be a huge game changer for BPD, if you can get access to it that it. I really love the background of it, even wonder if someday I'll get a cert on it and segway into that realm

    I'm not a psychiatrist and if I do get a doctorate it won't be for that lol but I figured out a combo that doesn't ruin that powerful feeling of music and life in general. Just took too long cause I had ASS doctors for so so long

    I can honestly see both of those

    I remember the Nirvana style album Weeknd was working on before he pivoted to BBTM lol. He’s never came back from that trajectory if I’m remembering correctly…has been pop style stuff ever since BBTM

    BITTSM and Astroworld arent bad but I can definitely see what he means by DBR is the best Travis project lol.
