OPDec 24, 2021KakoMost people seem to lie or stretch out the truth in job interviews in order to sell themselves I think telling the truth will make you stand out. Honesty is underrated.

I recently started a company, and hired some dude. He seemed like a perfect fit, until about 2 weeks into the job, he confessed to our manager that he lied about his experience. He's been doing a great job nonetheless.
Would y'all fire him or keep him even tho he lied? Have y'all lied during an interview?
If he's a good worker no I wouldn't fire him lol.
It's the pursuit of happiness for a reason. The job market is a bloodbath right now. Whatever you gotta do to get ahead imo. You already hired him and he's a good worker... what's the problem?

never made things up about my education/work experience. instead i inflated my influence on key accomplishments to make myself sound like a better candidate.
