As the West becomes increasingly liberal, the media and government will eventually be pushing society and culture to look down on having children for population control

They will advocate for adoption and push the agenda that having biological children is immoral and selfish when there are orphans, foster, and hopeless and abandoned children with no future

I already feel bad enough about tons of s*** I do or don't do well enough, I'm not going to feel guilty for putting time into raising a person who will hopefully surpass me in every way and benefit the human race.

I don't think it's possible to convince me that it's irresponsible or immoral to have children in general, but people should absolutely wait until they're ready. I wasn't a father until I was 27 and I'm glad I waited as long as I did.

Anyone who thinks children will help them grow up and straighten their lives out are the really irresponsible ones. In fact, new parents are a complete disaster and don't start running at full capacity again for years. Newborns don't make you better people, they make you sleep deprived and angry.

In that sense, I kinda like the idea of adoption. I don't want to do those first 3 months again. Once your kid can smile at you and express happiness, it gets a lot better, but before that it's really thankless for fathers. At least, it was for me.
