Going through my bluray collection and hit Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) and now I am watching The Thing and The Thing prequel.
The OG The Thing really is a top horror movie. The practical effects, the creepiness, the originality even compared to todays Alien type of movies and the awesome cast. I love how everyone begins to not trust any of each other because of one creature. Such a well done movie.
What is everyone’s fave Halloween movies? Doesn’t have to be Halloween or even Horror based, idc if it’s lighthearted s*** like Halloweentown either. Just looking to see what everybody enjoys watching this time of year
I always watch Sleepy Hollow w/ my dad, The Exorcist 1 and 3, and then the OG Halloween on Oct. 31st
EDIT: not all four on the same day, Halloween is the only one I always watch on actual Halloween
Finished the conjuring universe
Watching blair witch movies, followed by Sinister
After that, slasher movies!
Watching 1981 Halloween 2 rn
This movie actually slaps. Underrated. Obviously a step down from the OG, but not a very far step. Spooky vibes
It's my favorite, above H1 for me
The hospital setting was creepy af, combined with the gory kills.
It's the best of both worlds for me, you get a vibe similar to H1 and on top of that you get more gore and violence compared to 1978.
2 is my favorite
Sackhead hillbilly jason ftw

Oh s*** I forgot about Sleepy Hollow. Ima add that one to the list
Watched the first Ginger Snaps. Was surprisingly good. Anybody watch the other movies in the trilogy? Tryna see if they’re worth watching or not

Ginger snaps has some amazing fall vibes
Watched the second one and even tho it's not as good as the original, it still was enjoyable. Has a very different tone tho, it takes itself much more seriously which doesn't work in its favor IMO. I'll say go for it but dont bother with part 3

lmaooo
The movie is hilarious tbh, the meta comments and random little scenes like this kid sleeping with a Sartre book

Part 3 is a prequel and looks kinda meh, there's no Fitzgerald sisters
There's literally only been two movies since the 2003 one lol...

Well so far I’ve watched An American Werewolf in London. Def peep that one. Watched Silver Bullet too but that one was low key corny.
Gonna watch The Wolfman (1941) and also Benicio’s Wolfman soon

Classic one, the transformation scene really stays with you.
Also, i just found out about it's sequel: An American Werewolf in Paris lmao

That's interesting, why wouldn't you count it? It's an official installment of the series
Even Tobe Hooper produced it

Howl is a pretty underrated Werewolf movie.

Not gonna lie, I grew up on this movie and seen it before London. It's actually not that bad for what it was, the trailer makes it look f***ing terrible lol. It's lowkey funny and a fun B flick. Kind of goes with Faculty and Disturbing Behavior for me.
I don't get it. Whats with all these Shudder originals having high rt scores but every other score elsewhere is low?
Z
Host
Spiral
And many more...

Looks pretty fun judging by it's premise. Might just peep it soon, thanks
Never even watched The Howling somehow, am I missing out on that one or nah?

Kinda see what you mean when you compare it to the faculty tbh, it does have that late 90's b movie aesthetic
