yup also i just watched Chapter 3 and it's a little better, but still really bad
only reason i'm watching them all is cause they just announced Chapter 5 and the premise sounds cool
plus it's Patrick Wilson's directorial debut

had no idea 5 was even being considered. i had heard/read 4 was the end of the franchise. after how the last movies went it made sense to pull the plug. they were still profitable tho
i wish we'd get a sinister 3
Been watching a lot of horror lately
Plan to watch a lot more new and old
What’s stood out to you thus far?
What’s stood out to you thus far?
Watched the thing like a couple months back, all I can say
The exorcist, classic but I'd sort of ruined it for myself by watching clips of the ending and parodies over the years but the majority of the first 2/3rds of the movie were new. Wish I could have watched this completely blind, the last third would have definitely creeped me out
Literally just watched hellraiser and thought it was pretty good and actually found it more interesting that the cenobites were not the main part of the story. The special effects with the budget they had were pretty great. That ending had me tho
Watched sinister and it follows for more recent movies, not bad movies and they both had interesting concepts but overall just didnt enjoy them as much as the others
Watched scream 2 as well but I grew up on that s***, been a while since I'd watch it

That’s dope. I’m happy you liked the exorcist. I remember being kind of disappointed watching for the first time tbh. Also, OG suspiria and Rosemary’s Baby are both def worth the peep

Intended to watch Rosemary's baby, carrie (og) and something modern like babadook next
agreed, also Danny McBride was really pretentious in almost every single interview he made for the film. S***ting on the sequels only to make one that isn't even as great as part II and rehash elements from H20. He had this I'm above the horror genre, I'm making prestige horror attitude only to give us a basic slasher. I was fine with him retconning Laurie & Michael being siblings too but he ended up doing nothing interesting with that and it actually made less sense for the story he was telling.
that s*** was ass
His House was really good
Film went completely under the radar. It'll gain attention via word of mouth.

Yeah donno why netflix wasn't pushing it more. That reveal in the 3rd act was a gutpunch.
I watched Tetsuo last night blind and let me say wtf
Welp horror fam. Looks like I'm having kid #2 in July
Post pandemic child incoming
