Hes been falling off for years now in regards to project quality, but this is the first time Ive seen this many people dismissing his album across the board. I wonder where if he even cares at this point though. But albums like kendricks and this recent one from drake definitely lose you more casual fans in the long run.

    reinforces his brand if anything

Idk but this album is def not worse in quality than his last few projects

  • Jun 20, 2022

he probably has an entire team dedicated to keeping track of whatever is popular ready to turn something he does into a meme so i'm sure he'll be ok

Also we know Drake can get a hit whenever he really tries. The question is if he’s still interested in doing that.

i mean probably not too much lol, as long as he releases songs filled with quotables for IG posts and a cool hit or two he'll always be fine

im pretty sure he recognizes his output hasn't been too stellar

  • No damage done whatsoever. People will not just stop liking his music because of his decision to release an experimental album. They'll all be back once he releases an album that they can connect with. Both his die hard fans and the casuals.

I just want him to release his 4:44 and move away from his usual type of raps, also desperately wanting to chase hits. Though tbf I realize it’s been a while since he had a notable hit, which was Nice For What or Toosie Slide

drake is at a level where dud albums will not affect his sales for the next ones. people consume music and move on so quickly which makes it possible.

This album NEEDS a remix album to go with it

  • His brand would only be hurt if he dropped a rap album that was this poorly received

This will be more akin to his rebirth.

You can look up Wayne’s album numbers directly before and after rebirth and see that that abortion of an album did nothing to his legacy or brand, and even now it’s not even brought up except for the occasional meme

I'm sorry but you need to get a grip. Guy releases music pretty much constantly, you ain't have to wait for anything

Not even sure what this means because both artists you named in OP still are performing well in this climate which is about a decade past their debuts which in itself is difficult to do so. How about some of the younger acts pick up the torch so we don’t have to have our legends carry the weight
