Tfs up with all these communists on KTT

Most of em took 1 intro to economics class in college and think they are experts now lol

during my time on here you have never displayed any understanding whatsoever on topics such as communism and marxism and have come off as a condescending self identified centrist when talking on them and you have the gall to tell others they're uneducated

I have a pretty good understanding on communism/Marxism considering I’ve written two extremely large papers (one a thesis) on the topic, and studied under a Marxist professor but carry on lol

    VOTE FOR KANYE

    We are an inferior race.

he typed, on his piece of pure human engineering, something fundamentally unfathomable to any other race in known existence

I will say, my Marxist professor did make me less dismissive of the idea as a whole but that’s about all that changed

well then knowing this why are you surprised that during a time of great economic depression of which we haven't seen in quite some time why would you be surprised that people are drawn to an ideology such as communism

You could argue consumer grade tech benefits from capitalism though. The race to be competetive opens up avenues for creativity and being ahead of others. A lot of non essential tech that people enjoy is helped tremendously by capitalism and even essential tech benefits from the free market.

Capitalism fuels innovation for the benefit of people so much before its negative kills us. Just look how many people are trying to build drop shipping website with s***ty China made wholesale products after the first product is made. The minority of people moving for innovation is outweighed the amount of bullshit that is out there. The success stories we see are from people who care, but think about the amount of s***ty companies that exist and fall and repeat causing more pollution and harm in general

You'd think that over 100 million deaths is enough to dismiss such an ideology altogether.

    You're ignorant and/or small-minded to call yourself a communist in 2020.

it's not history denial and I'm not going to act like the USSR or Mao's china was completely good or anything, far from it lmao but that book and those numbers are nonsense and has been debunked a multitude of times

I'm sure you can find arguments against communism without bringing in falsehoods, it shouldn't be too hard

"supposing we now apply the methodology of the Black Book" to India, "the democratic capitalist 'experiment' has caused more deaths than in the entire history of ... Communism everywhere since 1917: over 100 million deaths by 1979, and tens of millions more since, in India alone" - Noam Chomsky

"debunked" lmao ok. Pick a number then, how many millions?

And yeah it's way easier to find arguments against it than for it. I figured the loss of innocent human lives would be good enough of an argument don't you think?

Fair enough. Let's think of another solution then, but communism ain't it buddy.

This argument is like watching a Knicks vs kings game and being like "wow basketball is a trash sport"

There r countries that have pulled off socialist policies well (see Europe). It's not necessarily that the concepts can't work it's just that we have to be moderate in how we implement them

100% agree. I have absolutely no problem with reasonable socialist policies. I have a problem with communism.

Completely free market capitalism has led to huge wealth disparities environmental damage and has displaced the emphasis of human achievement from actual progress to gaming this system in ways that aren't necessarily productive. If you think this free market capitalism experiment hasn't failed to some degree ur delusional.

The easiest step forward now is to hold the rich accountable for their tax evasion schemes by actually taxing them, enforce policies to reduce pollution and put more money into education social services etc. And less into the military

disagree. massive monetary barriers exist in order to achieve revolutionary new tech.

we either need absolute dissolution of capitalism or some mechanism for directing large sums of $ to certain projects. redistribution does little in this field, you can have millions of well-off, highly educated scientists ... but under capitalism someone has to actually have the capital lol
