humans have progressed exponentially in the past 30 years
look at womens rights and lgbt rights. obviously misogyny and homophobia are still around but its much less prevalent than any time in history. gay bashers are practically nonexistent in most urban western cities and can legally get married + movements like #metoo gave women a widespread voice which was nonexistent in the past. opening up about mental illnesses is encouraged in todays society whereas it was highly taboo and bottled up in the past. more and more people are becoming critical of the downsides of capitalism these days as well.
racism is still an issue but compared to the 80s/90s it HAS gotten better. the government isn't funnelling crack to black neighborhoods, residential schools dont exist, apartheid doesnt exist, and minorities are much more represented in media + society. financially, black people in america are much better off than they were 25 years ago. no, racism hasn't and probably never will be completely abolished but people acting like ZERO progress has been made are goofs. having a defeatist attitude that things will never change, even if true, accomplishes literally nothing.
"the government isn't funnelling crack to black neighborhoods"
wasn't that during our lifetime lmao
I have a pretty good understanding on communism/Marxism considering I’ve written two extremely large papers (one a thesis) on the topic, and studied under a Marxist professor but carry on lol
Well u surely dont show all that knowledge in ur posts
Technology could be beyond was it is now, we could be living off renewable energy right now lmao
It's much easier to control and develop technology as it lacks emotion and free will, whereas with humans there are a lot of emotions, different views, and about a hundred years of reinforced hateful rhetoric that continues to be indoctrinated in people to this day.

Ehhh it's still black people getting hung from trees. Infact, there are still large pockets of the US, like small towns and s***, that are near densely populated cities where black people cannot and should not go to or simply travel to or else they'll "come up missing" just to be found (if they ever actually are) months later when its discovered they were either beaten to death, set on fire, hung, or thrown in a lake.
There has hardly been any real progress if all of these things are still going on. Mind you, these are the ones we hear about. There are many, many more that go unheard.
Interesting that everything progressing but a lot of school systems are still stuck in the 40s

blame america's 2 party system
blame america's 2 party system
A lot of the world, not just USA
I’ve seen so much progress in actual conservative communities in the last month. My parents talking about race issues in a real way for the first time, the church speaking out against racism for multiple weeks in a row, condemning the old racists that might be there. The media tries to make things look worse than they are, but it’s real life progress happening right now.
Try to talk to real people instead of watching the news, I think you’ll start to see a lot more good in the world.
because we're stupid and money exists
and money has to exist for us not to devolve back into caveman times except with LEDs
