Medium well>>>
Bloody is nasty
You tried it bloody? Medium is good but I heard it takes away some of the flavor.
Steak only needs salt and pepper, MAYBE MAYBE A TINY BIT OF GARLIC POWDER
but anything else with muddy the flavors of the beef
When I char grill steak at home, I put cinnamon on my ribeyes. I have no rules when I enjoy my s***.

The salt pepper only bs is something amateur “grillers” believe that’s somehow been taken as like actual chefs wisdom

If Im going to a steak house, I'm not complaining that my steak is only salt and pepper. I'm not like "I wish I had other spices on my steak"
I'm just saying, I like doing what I want when I grill.

For me I can only eat steak when it’s cut up or like on a sandwich topping. I can’t just eat a regular steak. So I like steak but I don’t unless it’s like a phillycheese stake or cut up into a topping

I used to be like that when I was younger. Steak & cheese subs and cheesesteaks were my favorite foods and then as I got older, it was like "ok this is simpler"
I still enjoy a mean cheesesteak though. F***.
Season with salt/pepper, warm it in the oven on 350 for a bit and then cook it in a pan with clarified butter on high/med-high heat just enough to get a nice sear. Aim for around 135 degrees, high end of medium rare.
You missed the whole part of marinating your steak
This f***ing thread. Trying to call someone out for using salt and pepper on a steak.
You can add some s***. Thyme, rosemary, garlic, i've had a decent steak with creole seasoning. But s+p works perfectly fine.
Anyway, this is a good run down of a reverse sear that some people have mentioned. It's so easy and you can cook a perfect steak. S***'s legit. Highly recommend. I do this medium rare. Get yourself a good cast iron pan from Lodge.
