New NIGHTMANYeah you're right, but in OP it sounds like you're blaming the workers themselves rather than the businesses.
Usually the customers are also on s*** wages, so it might br hard for them to tip on top of the bill. But at the end of the day thr workers rely on it.
Its a s*** system which is why they need to raise the wage over there. Then they could just get rid of tips, which would also fill in for any prices of food that need to be raised due to the wage increase

Grow the f*** up, you’re paying for the privelage of a nice experience. If you’re too cheap to go out, then don’t go out and order fast food. If you feel like you don’t need to tip because you only go to s***ty chain restaurants that’s your problem not the servers.

I worked plenty of s*** jobs in my life. Waiting tables actually requires a difficult to learn skill set and not everyone can do it, and aside from that servers make way less then minimum wage.

Read my last post. Servers don’t make minimum wage, they make literally a few dollars an hour.
And a server helps provide your entire experience for the evening they’re not just taking a ticket or pressing a button for a roller coaster door to open.

Even if you have terrible service, you should tip 15%. You have no idea what that persons going through at the moment and I really don’t think most people understand how difficult and demoralizing waiting tables can be, particularly at a s***ty restaurant that mostly caters to people with no taste who expect to be treated like royalty because they’re at a chili’s.

You're literally a f***ing idiot. To think you know what is necessary to do a job that you haven't worked is insane. Please go apply to be a waiter at a restaurant right now. And not a f***ing Olive Garden or Chili's. I mean go apply to be a waiter at an actual restaurant with demanding clientele, a full menu of food that is all cooked in house, and in all likelihood, short staffed at the moment. You won't believe how disrespected you will be on a day-to-day basis. That alone is worth $50/hr and I make like $35/hrs doing it.
And for anyone who wants to be bring up non-tipped service workers who make minimum wage, they also deserve $50/hrs, it's just that a waiter is someone the clientele is paying to have serve them. Serve them. Serve, as in something only royalty would've had the treatment of 500 years ago. It's all inherently ridiculous.

Yeah okay I’ve done it before. It’s not that f***ing hard. I’m a soldier and sometimes I work for 24 hours without extra pay and you don’t hear me complaining. Because I chose to have this job. Just like anyone else.
