    1. Do not study until exams
    2. Get a good summary of your course
    3. Wait till your gut tells you you need to start studying NOW if you want to pass
    4. Start studying, start lightly (I never clocked in more than a 3 hour day at the start)
    5. Accelerate (5 hour days)
    6. Finish up (8-10 hour days 1 to 2 days before the exam)

    Lmao wtf

    Not that easy

Especially if you have courses with weekly grading

Hey man I'm just sharing what worked for me. If you got something easier, I'm sure OP would love the advice

Best bet is to dedicate yourself to studying hard from the beginning cause uni is hell

In the end it's gonna be worth it though, but bear in mind that uni is more exhausting than the job you're preparing for, so don't take things seriously and give it as much as you can while still remaining healthy

I feel you but I can't recommend uni students to not study until they feel so. Tried that in my first semester and ended up the most stressed I've ever been in my life. Felt like I wouldn't make it alive out of my finals let alone pass them

    What

Maybe it worked for you but that’s probably the most stressful possible way you could go about things

  • Sep 12, 2022

Also that s*** will not work at all for advanced degrees

    Just drop out op

  • I don't. Bullshitted my way through college. Not recommended

I think there is an art to how to study. I might have to do research on it because I'm genuinely curious.

Also, the art of studying may be connected to how one can retrieve information from their brain.

My theory is that our brain is like a hard drive. But how do we determine if we have a SSD or HDD. I think I have a HDD because I'm slow af lol. I can learn quickly than some but I'm also very stubborn and get nervous easily.

Have yall ever been in a flow state while studying. Like you just know you're getting it and you're not taking forever to let it sink in your brain. I feel like those harvard 4.0 GPA kids constantly chase that vibe...

1hr studying. Break it down to 20 min 5 min breaks or 25 min 5 min breaks.

    Apply what you learn .

    Repeat.

Already have a plan on what you want to achieve

Making a bibliography in the last ~10 min is such a pain in the ass

  • Leave your phone out of reach, the compulsion to constantly check it will break your concentration. At the same time, don't force the studying if it's not coming naturally. If you feel yourself reading the same lines over and over and none of it is sinking in, you should give yourself a break and come back after a little bit with a fresh mindset.

Just a personal rule for me is to never take more than a page of notes for a single reading/concept; if I can't consolidate my thoughts into a single page, then I don't understand it well enough and I need to read more. Similarly, when I'm studying for an exam one of the last things I'll do is to take one full page of notes that includes everything I think is most important.

  • Read the syllabus and figure out what I need to study to be able to fulfill the syallabus objectives
