He might not have 1 or 2 global hits like an abel or ed sheeran does but he definitely has like dozens of songs with more than 200-300 million streams
I mean he’s been making popular songs since like 2011.
53 million monthly listeners isnt low but it’s weird that he’s more in the tier of a doja cat or dua lipa than a justin bieber or ed sheeran streaming wise. Pick a random Drake album and like 50-60% of the tracks are pretty f***ing popular
I cant name 5 ultra popular bieber songs
When was the last time Drake had a mega hit record? Anything he drops goes #1 of course but I feel like he peaked popularity wise in the Views era

God’s Plan was the last big one
drakes not a global artist like a lot of people think (he’s still big)
He is. That’s one of the haters last Hail Marys to diminish him

I admitted that
His last global hit was probably one dance/God’s plan/hotline bling
But he’s made up for that by literally having over 20 songs that if you go to any party in any city and put on everyone would be able to sing a long to.
So yea they might not be popular in like japan or whatever but still pretty popular
Everything from nice for what to wants and needs to whats next to way too sexy to nonstop
The list is quite literally almost endless
lol this discussing again... Drake is not that popular outside the Anglosphere
And these are just his listeners from the past 31 days. He didn't drop anything big recently (in 2022)
Only 53 mill monthly listeners is crazy to say .
I believe he might be bigger on apple then spotify but the pop artists will always be bigger because the reach is bigger. I love drake but on my work playlist there is hardly any drake on it. Bieber, Swift etc are playlist friendly for in the work envorinment no cursing, no hard beats etc it's pop music they are supposed to be bigger.

he def peaked in scorpion era bruh
Only 12 artist have higher streams than him and they probably just make music that fits Spotify’s algorithm better
This is a good point and might be a valid answer. I’m a drake fan so idc i still play album cuts from More Life but i see where you’re getting at
i still kinda disagree sure nice for what isn’t top of anyones playlist in 2022 but if its played ion think people would complain
And people definitely still play wants and needs at functions in my school but it’s a majority khak school 💀

I saw a thread here the other day that said he was top 4 worldwide for last year

Spotify is also only one platform and its unique listeners in the past 28 days.
Dababys went up a lot when the song with dua dropped because its based on uniqe listeners. They could only stream one feature song and it would count lol.
