The monthly listeners metric pretty much favours your typical top 50 mainstream radio artists. Most people know a song from for example Ed Sheeran, so most people will check out 1 or 2 songs of his.
It doesn't even matter if they listen to the songs only once.

Let's say you have a song on spotify and 100 people listen to it once in 28 days. That's 100 monthly listeners and 100 streams total.
Now I have a song that only 50 people listened to but each person listened to the song 10 times. That's 50 monthly listeners but 500 streams.

Drake is the second scenario only way bigger

I think his last album was a step in the right direction as far as being in the limelight but I don’t think he’s the same guy he was say back in 2015 popularity wise
