    ....

The thread is about Drake and Kendrick

I commented about Drake's reaction. Not anyone else's

Put the cape down bro. If this was a thread about other rappers' reactions then sure. Chill out lol

It's been the exact same narrative being pushed in every thread that's been made about this verse.

First, absolutely nothing from that J.Cole verse makes it seemed like he was butt hurt about it rather than just responding to it.

Drake was talking in interviews like, “I seen him a week later and it was all love, so I don’t know” or whatever. Talking about he’s gonna have a hard time getting features because a lot of rappers aren’t gonna want to work with him. Plus the s*** with the scrapped First Take interview. And other subliminal s*** he’s done in other interviews and songs as well.

They really had a falling out over that s*** because the nigga got mad. It just is what it is.

And this is coming from a huge fan of drake’s music.

Hilarious that all y'all can ever say about Kendrick and real confrontation with any rapper are ifs and maybes and not for a lack of confrontation but an unwillingness for him to ever step into the ring with anybody.

Kendrick's strategy has always been to talk big s*** on songs and then duck the smoke when someone really wants it or he'll act like he never sent any shots to begin with when confronted about it lol.

Any rapper who was actually gonna do s*** would have done so years ago. Kendrick ain't about that life and y'all need to stop being so stupid as to think that simply being a good rapper equates to being excellent in a rap battle lol.

Crazy that the "soft rapper" who sings all the time has had more scraps with rappers on wax than Kendrick can never claim to have lmao.

Only Drake fans can say this verse had no impact and then write a essay about it a decade later

The impact is that you are in the thread talking about it right now. Good or bad lol

Drake responds = he's butthurt and crying over the verse

Every other rapper responds to it = they're just responding, they're not hurt at all, only Drake is clearly hurt by it, etc.

    Y'all are all sheep lmao.

I have never heard anybody in my life mention that control verse in person (the last time I heard somebody mention it was a few months after it dropped)

It’s obviously impacting you because you in the thread with a cape on.

  • thegreatdivine

I'm just stating fact. There's nothing to spin when it's all out there and people willfully ignore it to form their own narratives simply because the person in discussion is Drake lol. There are dozens of interviews from countless rappers back then being way more bothered and upset than Drake ever was and niggas are acting like that never happened.

So? It gets mentioned on KTT2. Do you realize how big of a deal that is? Impactful af.

Just so y'all know, discussions don't equal impact. People discuss a thousand things around rap/hip-hop that don't really mean s*** at the end of the day. That verse only made waves because Kendrick name-called on his verse, which is why it's the only part of the verse anyone remembers or talks about lmao. F*** outta here, man lol.

Any notable rapper who had done something similar would have gotten the exact same reaction.

Well other rappers responded by rapping, Drake responded by crying on interviews about it and taking it personal, that’s prolly the key difference

And it only got the hype it got because he mentioned every pooping rapper at the time. That's like Hov in '98 recording a song and mentioning every notable rapper of the time and saying what Kendrick said. You bet your ass people would talk about it

"crying in interviews" that's how I know y'all are idiots lmao. Drake addressed that s*** in ONE interview and moved on. There are rappers who went on damn radio runs talking about that s*** no one ever mentions.

Y'all are so desperate to make it seem like Drake was the only one bothered and it's pathetic and he wasn't bothered simply because he shared what he thought about it.
