Niggas didn’t want that smoke
I dont think drake was scared of it at all, if anything he wanted it to happen. they both were throwing subs over the years, and something just needed to happen to tip things over.
drake saying "is anyone still listening to that song now" is funny to me now when people still make threads about it 10 years later on this site
that song is not getting streams today, dont do that
That response was when I realised there was something wrong with Drake's socially. He caught feelings unnecessarily.
nothing wrong with drake socially here, he raised a valid point about the verse. was he kinda trying to sour a good "moment" which was the control verse? yea you could argue that. but what he said is true, people only remember the bars about him calling out his peers.
Kendrick denied that King Kunta s*** was about anyone specific when he got asked about it tho
That being said, people STILL instigating this beef
I'm sure he signed an NDA and couldnt mention Drake's name
"I swore I wouldn't tell"
the kendrick x drake beef was the best s*** that never happened
I'm a fan of both of em, we woulda been eating if that beef happened.
But also, I hate to think that one of their careers coulda got Ja Rule'd
the kendrick x drake beef was the best s*** that never happened
Yet here we are years later about two artists that are cool and ppl still devoting time in hypotheticals. Smh people need to chill and just enjoy the music
the kendrick x drake beef was the best s*** that never happened
I think it’s fine the way it was. They sent jabs at each other cus it never became serious enough to warrant full diss tracks. It was strictly competition.
When people say they want this beef they really just mean they want the entertainment that’s gonna come from it, at the risk of two artists having issues w/ eachother
I'm sure he signed an NDA and couldnt mention Drake's name

Wow name calling and trying to devalue me
Just like drake!
Stop riding d*** and be yourself!
''JUST LIKE DRAKE''
lmfao youre a nerd

yeah I only care about the tracks they would've released in that period. I'm sure it would've been much more competitive than meek and drake.
I think the ghost writer stuff would’ve been insane coming from Kendrick instead of Meek too lol. Feel like the reveal wasn’t as notable because Meek wasn’t nearly as relevant and isn’t known as a great writer himself
2015 meek was pretty popular… but he quickly lost credence
that song is not getting streams today, dont do that
it's not even available on streaming lol
drake saying "is anyone still listening to that song now" is funny to me now when people still make threads about it 10 years later on this site
What KTT threads gotta do with people listening to the song? Lol
What KTT threads gotta do with people listening to the song? Lol
What people actually replaying the track gotta do with the impact it had?
Besides the fact it’s not even on streaming lol
Why are people assuming Kendrick knew about Quentin?
Kendrick just knew what we all knew: Drake had Ye and Dream writing on TML. weeknd (and Kendrick probably) writing on TC. PND, Majid Jordan and Detail writing on NWTS.
Like if you were in the industry you already knew artists were using writers
I dont think drake was scared of it at all, if anything he wanted it to happen. they both were throwing subs over the years, and something just needed to happen to tip things over.
Drake had the interview that would of tipped things destroyed
Lies. It was just as big a deal coming from Meek. Acting like Meek wasn't a respected rapper is capping and revisionist history.
Let me explain in more detail
Kendrick is hailed for his lyrical ability, he’s considered a top tier lyricist in a way that Meek is not. Not in 2015 or now. Meek was also further from Drake’s level in terms of cultural relevancy.
Meek fumbled the bag completely in that beef. Sending off tweets instead of bars, taking too long to respond, etc. The info could have been used in a more impactful way if done by somebody closer to Drake’s caliber, ie either someone from the big 3 or a legend, basically.
If Kendrick had called out Drake for using a ghost writer as a bar on a diss song, and provided proof like Meek did, it would be a much more remembered moment than Wanna Know was.
It’s not about the size it’s about the fight in the dog
Kendrick def f***ing drake up
