Yup. It's bound to happen even if you're an Asian ethnicity visiting another Asian country. They just tend to be intrigued or curious about other ethnicities, and usually, it isn't anything hostile or hateful. It's important not to let it faze you.

Visiting is one thing, trying to live there is another. I know in Japan at least, they will freely tell you they’re not renting/leasing to foreigners, and if they do, they will increase the price just for you

Most people in homogenous countries are going to be wary of foreigners regardless of what skin color you are. You just gotta make sure to let them know you come in peace.
This is the prime example of how it's done. People love it when others are respectful towards them. Just smile and show them you appreciate and respect their culture.

idk why my post got deleted but yep. SK isn't Japan, but Japan tends to be a lot more insulated from foreigners. KELYE seemed happy to live and work in Japan overall.
