I feel like in any other time period people would've said enough is enough and went on a mass strike throughout the country. They took 8 months to come to the conclusion we should only get $600 and $300 extra in unemployment lmfao. It just amazes me how they f*** over the people in plain sight and nothing gets done about it, when are we going to say enough is enough?

And I'm aware of the division in the country but the majority of Americans could at least agree that we needed stimulus checks and they hit us with half of what we got 8 f***ing months ago. Why are we still putting up with this s*** as a country?

People need to eat and can't afford to quit. Simple as that. Proletariat is unable to seize the means, or any power.

    because it’s not affecting everyone

a lot of people still had employment throughout this time, the $600 is just a bonus at this point. they have still been able to pay rent, buy groceries, etc. some even started to make more money

not saying it’s right, just answering your question as to why US citizens aren’t reacting as whole

many people have had it extremely hard, but for many other people, nothing has changed, that’s what it really boils down to

edit: i do agree though, a one time $1200 payment and now a $600 payment is a complete joke. we are an extremely rich country, and our government should be doing a better job of taking care of its citizens that are in a hardship position right now

If the people stop working the corporations which the government clearly serves wouldn't be able to function, forcing something to be done

How is $600 a “bonus” for people on unemployment when $900 is not even a single mortgage or rent payment

i was referring to the people who have had employment - their job didn’t shut down/things like that - not the people who needed unemployment benefits
