Yea man,pay your s*** or find out. I just got debt free around the first of this yr. Wish HS taught about Credit Scores and bills instead of pretending like we're all gonna progress to be rocket scientist. Oh well,we're growing,we're learning.

I took f***in personal finance to learn that stuff and it was the dumbest f***ing useless class I ever took. Taught nothing.

Im not debt free I have an assload of college debt. I want to figure out how to pay off my private loan properly but it's so confusing. Prob need to wait till I'm salaried next summer or so and just try to pay it off in full after awhile (think that ones 10k)

why would he move out? now is a perfect time to get himself started with his savings

Yeah I'm with you if you can stay at your parents and save, do that s***. But don't go blowing 400/week, build a savings acct, invest in an IRA or CD or whatever (idk someone here flamed me for doing a CD)

If you want to buy streetwear and club and s*** go for it but don't spend over half your disposable income on it. Don't need to be buying glasses of Henny or bottle service or whatever

They make you sign weird waivers or something and I'm not allowed to pay anymore than whatever the interest is for the month without doing a handful of things. There's a bunch of warnings telling me not to "overpay" and s***

I don't really have the cash to promise certain payments yet so I'm just going to wait until my pay is 100% guaranteed instead of hourly

U blowing through $1.600 a month on shopping, dates and clubbing while living with your parents & you feel like that's not enough?

My brother, I'm afraid it's over for you unless you got a trust fund you can dip into.

That Student Loan Forgiveness s*** is just a tease at this point. Yea man, just keep paying whatever necessary and when your pay jumps,go ahead and finish it up. What not to do is,take out another loan/credit card to pay another loan smh. I know this young couple who took platinum American Express cards to pay huge bills with.

Idk how this going right now,but for some reason, they were flexing it online smh

Nope that's their goal dude. Private loans are f***ing predatory as f***, I just had no other option when I was under 26 and finishing my bachelors.

Nobody should ever take them, I did it because I was getting barely any student aid thru FAFSA and didn't want to take forever to finish the degree. Also I was still learning how to do this field of work without getting screwed on pay. I feel fine with doing it in this case but it's super annoying

I think last time I looked im somehow oweing more than what I took out. By like 30 bucks but still. Could've been a glitch I don't know. Really annoying needing to pay variable rates

So yeah don't get one if you don't need it

Well I'm talking about my private loan which isn't applicable to forgiveness period.

I was expecting the forgiveness to pay off nearly my whole masters. So I'm not happy about all that Bs that went down

Damn,at least you have a plan to get this s*** done. I have a few family members i know that are crossing their fingers that the student loan bill goes through, even if it doesn't wipe out all of it.

I was doing that too. But I have a back up plan I guess, make good money and pay it off

    thats f***ed bruh

if you need some more resources/advice for how to attack it you could look into Dave Ramsey stuff. He's pretty southern so he leans a bit conservative which can be a little off putting but his financial principals are pretty sound, especially for getting out of debt

good luck tho bro, once u knock it out and have all your income going to yourself its gonna feel so good

54K should be the minimum yearly salary for anyone trying to get their life started

It's def possible in bumfuck nowhere, in my state if you drive 4 hours north of my city you can live off that easy too

But they all say the further north in Michigan you go, the further south you end up

Nope, that salary not happening in the North. It all depends on quality of life and what type of environment your looking for. A quiet small town, living in the country, nothing to do vs always being able to find something to get into in a big city. I think every small town person dreams of living in NYC/LA but its not vice versa with a person living in those major cities.

Idk my best bud lived in the inner-city here with me and he moved up near traverse City but more country. S*** is mad cheap when it's not vacation season there. He just wants to enjoy nature and kayak or fish or disc or snowboard whenever he wants without dealing with too many people

His house was insanely cheap to get too
