I’m not even gonna hold you, Idk what fracking is so I’m not gonna speak on it lol.

But I think as far as banning minors from viewing p*** most of the right is probably already in favor of it, and a good chunk of the left is too.

It’s just very low on the totem pole as far as issues go

What I mean to say is that there are a million things that could be fixed in america if it wasn’t for the RICH and powerful bankrolling the POLITICAL and powerful.

We will never get these things to happen as long as we have social media companies lobbying for politicians to protect their reach and their influence (thus, their money!)

    The system must change

Nothing wrong with being an apolitical person

Well not necessarily that but I get not being political in our day and age. Normal Americans are extremely alienated from their collective power

Then it’s up to the parents to keep certain things away from their children

With millennials and older gen z having kids now the excuse of “oh I don’t understand computers” is no longer valid

basically unless it was directed by the state in a highly specific manner with actual complementing bottom-up support for said agenda, you'd simply end up in a situation where what's taught is essentially just the regional equivalent of middle american faux-evangelicism

i genuinely think a basic epistemological breakdown on how science is a very strong and useful tool, yet has its limits just like anything else does would do wonders

it's pretty embarrassing how widely spread the sentiment is that science is the only way to come to knowledge, this allows people to take science's findings as absolute truth(s) and form some sort of nihilistic reductive mindset of the world at large, depression is usually not far off its heels afterwards

im sure there's more glaring things wrong with society at large, but the materialist zeitgeist is insidious and overlooked imo

If I had to take a guess I would assume it’s drilling for oil in the oceans right? I’ve heard it in passing but I never actually looked it up

I don't disagree with you at all on a philosophical basis, but you have to consider this on a wide sociological level when discussing the dissemination of ideas. The way philosophical concepts interface with mass populations isn't as simple as what's right or wrong or what sentiment is the catalyst for what library of thought.

to see the flip on psychedelics in real time is so wild to me tbh

psychs went from "just as bad as heroin or cocaine, anyone that does them is a d***gie" to "this can potentially holistically mitigate depression and other mental health conditions"
