There's a new book about beat & spoken poetry out and it mentions Blu in length. Blu is truly that guy
Thank you for putting me on fam I actually appreciate this a lot. Will check it out
Thought people turned on her
For maybe a week
This is because of the Black women jibe?
Her being so big with those types is funny because her extremely conservative vibe doesn’t really align with them
Her music and aesthetic is probably the most regressive s*** you can find, nostalgia for a whiter america, and she’s publicly trashed black women basically saying “think of the white women”
spill the tea
I remember this phase of her. With her nazi ex too

The book should be out everywhere but here's an excerpt: from MIT I like:

if the holes are open I’m always here to please
blu the goat. i remember he made a whole album with a ktt producer one time
Damn did not know any of this
because she got things like these in her discog
she fills such a fairly obvious aesthetic in retrospect, she genuinely looks like she would fit perfectly into early vintage Hollywood, she has an absolutely gorgeous and sultry voice, it’s borderline like she was born in the wrong era
@Brave you could probably elucidate on what im trying to say here way better
All of this was put very well. As for the title of mom, that sounds like something in a vacuum like a stanbase name
all her albums sound the same....
I dont see a progression in her sound. her songs are so slowwwww
There’s nothing inherently wrong with slow music or knowing what ballpark of sounds fit you as an artist
Plus you’re objectively wrong if you think all of her albums sound the same when her first 5 all sound different
if the holes are open I’m always here to please

I like to get it as close to dead as possible and then rush to plug it in when the brightness starts to go down at 1% before it turns off

Oh we gon get along real well
She improved her songwriting a lot + critical reception to pop music (especially women) is a lot more positive these days after years of neglect

I've never heard a single Lana song in my life, but I just remember her getting a lot of hate at one point lol. That might be it.
