i think the issue is that these ppl comment on how good these albums are and defend them
like crazysexycool, hoes will defend that album like its the greatest album of all time but they only know waterfall and creep
same with take care, theres literally 5 songs on that album that ppl actually know or care about

Music is literally the soundtrack to people's lives, memories etc. The only difference is the rituals through which people listen ie taste

HURRY UP sabthe way i look at it is that you can’t fault someone for being a casual as long as they don’t give their opinion on the subject
for example, idgaf about sports. if someone asked me my favorite team, i’m not gonna name a random team & pretend like i have any reason to call them my favorite, i’ll just say whichever team is closest to my hometown or something. and, rightfully, sports fans couldn’t care less about my opinions on sports after finding this out, although they’ll still encourage me to get into sports from time to time bc i have a p****.
but there is one difference, in that music casuals still give their opinions like they’re actually dedicated listeners, but in reality, they probably couldn’t name an album cut that wasn’t released as a single off anyone but their favorite’s albums
