Baby was literally getting paid by a millionaire to start rapping. That’s what having a rap career handed to you looks like and no one cares because s*** like that does not matter
if you don't f*** with unequal opportunities, wait til I tell you about society from the beginning of time
in what world exactly would everyone have equal opportunities? you sound like an idiot
some people have parents who did music. some people have parens who went to college. hell, you might have totally different opportunities even within the same family bc maybe the version of your parents an older sibling got is different than the version of parents a younger sibling got
what are you talking about?
this also ignores the fact that artists like Wayne and Jay Z have pushed the hell out of acts (Gudda Gudda, Mack Maine, Lil Twist, Memphis Bleek, etc.) who just never caught on. if it's as easy as having parents who own a sign company in a city that doesn't even have a football or basketball team, then everyone would have Harlow's success
I am genuinely wondering how you function in society @op like are you dumb
kys
Cool, but it ain't that serious bruh
this
Dude woke up changed his mind and opened a thread to announce it to the world

Bro, I made this thread saying I changed my mind and you're acting hella mad, dropping 5 paragraphs cause you still feel some type of way about this lmao.
Growing up, the culture was always about making it out of some type of struggle. Could be making it out of the hood, healing mental health (like Cudi, or Mac after he evolved). Seeing someone who never really struggled come up was new to me. I was never even mad, I was trying to understand it.
I understand it now and I've let it go. If y'all wanna keep spreading negativity, it's all good. I'm gonna carry on with my day. Not going to go back and forth this time, just seems like some of you are miserable and looking for reasons to be mad.

Doesn’t take long to write a paragraph. I am literate. Also don’t really care about Harlow. It is just the people with small brain syndrome who concern me.

I am not mad, just confused
You bring up Mac & Cudi, so you know there are ways to struggle that aren’t economic. So maybe Harlow struggled in those ways, who knows
Your background only matters if you / your label are lying about it
Lots of rappers came from decent homes. And lots of rap isn’t about struggle
Everybody has their advantages. Whether you're rich or have connections, whatever. The biggest thing to remember is that it's all about not being ugly. Ugly niggas have to work harder than anybody. Even Jack with all his advantages and talent and work didn't get on until he learned how to not be ugly.
What do you have against Nav
It's always white ppl that get the "he's a good guy, has a nice personality" treatment lol
lmao fr

right i’m not even a fan of him but first time i heard of him was like 2017 and he was a nobody. he been grinding for a minute
@op your first instinct was actually correct. I work at a record label, and every time one of our acts gets outsold by Jack Harlow, I explain that they never had a chance. His parents own a sign company in Louisville
