Bro, I made this thread saying I changed my mind and you're acting hella mad, dropping 5 paragraphs cause you still feel some type of way about this lmao.
Growing up, the culture was always about making it out of some type of struggle. Could be making it out of the hood, healing mental health (like Cudi, or Mac after he evolved). Seeing someone who never really struggled come up was new to me. I was never even mad, I was trying to understand it.
I understand it now and I've let it go. If y'all wanna keep spreading negativity, it's all good. I'm gonna carry on with my day. Not going to go back and forth this time, just seems like some of you are miserable and looking for reasons to be mad.
plenty of rappers throughout history grew up without struggle tho.
guru of gangstarrs dad was a lawyer then judge
kanye grew up middle class, dude lived in china for awhile
travis scott - mom worked at apple, grew up middle class
drake - was a child actor
tyga admitted he didn’t even grow up in compton and his parent had range rovers
wale grew up middle class
thats just off the top
Doesn’t take long to write a paragraph. I am literate. Also don’t really care about Harlow. It is just the people with small brain syndrome who concern me.
jack harlow don’t require paragraphs man. he’s just a frat rapper and you on your knees for him

I actually type sitting down. Also I hardly listen to Jack. I am trying to understand how @op got through life with this level of brain

A lot of them came from unstable or one parent homes, and none of them are White (yes it makes a difference)
@op your first instinct was actually correct. I work at a record label, and every time one of our acts gets outsold by Jack Harlow, I explain that they never had a chance. His parents own a sign company in Louisville
Owning a successful franchise is at least a 6 figure income. Doesn't guarantee a career at all, but it helps with the chances.
All that said, talent is still a factor and I admit Jack has talent. It's cool lol, I don't care anymore. I used to check here for music updates, but it seems like this site isn't really my crowd.
No hate, I'm just not vibing with some of the people here. Y'all have a lovely day.
A not ugly Nav is a superstar
I don’t disagree
Ugliness adds to his charm in a way tho

none of them came from unstable households, and what does “one parent” household have to do with anything? you can grow up great in a one parent household

You’re right that his whiteness and relative affluence are notable, but it’s not something that should be held against him unless he’s being dishonest about it
it’s an observation, not a criticism

It helps with chances to a small degree but when you’re talking about the success Jack has seen, it’s such a tiny factor. Why isn’t everyone whose parents make 6 figures as big in their field as Harlow is?
Also six figures isn’t that much
I kind of saw where you were coming from tbh but its not really jack harlows fault, its the systems
so it wouldnt make sense to blame or dislike him for it if hes not actively harming anyone

Damn all you need is a six figure income? Hold on I’m about to start a rap career. Billboard here I come
A funny thing about these threads is that the actual children of rap legends have tried to become successful rappers and failed spectacularly
Jack Harlow def gives me those preppy frat boy vibes. Like he went to a top 50 school district in the nation type sht

Small unknown fact, all it takes to become a multi platinum rapper in your early 20’s is to have parents with a six figure income
It's always white ppl that get the "he's a good guy, has a nice personality" treatment lol
And it's just bc they're not racist af
That nigga is literally just Logic if he didn’t scare the hoes
F*** him
Tell me u never listened to his music without listening to his music
