looks cool
slight changes in workflow
if u can use fl 12 u can use fl 11 and fl 20 yk its not a huge difference
ppl just like the feel of fl 11. if u want specifics I mean im sure there's a range of little details ppl who use fl 11 can tell u, but I stick w my fl 20 so idk I cant say
fl studio 11 definitely has a grimier aesthetic than 12+
plus u could add skins which was cool
Idk I feel like some mainstream producers are just too used to it (OZ/Boi-1da, etc.) so they don’t wanna change
But tbh I don’t get it cause the new updates in FL have really interesting features
boi1da uses 11? I swear he uses a newer version.

i thought you could do that in 20
i thought you could do that in 20
i think u can do it unofficially but they prolly took the feature away
Just updating it the plug ins should still work I think. I transferred from one computer to another and none of the plug ins want to work now though
oh i was confused u meant 11 to 20 not 20 to 11
yeah i wanna lean em all like im ash ketchum but if he was a nigga
nah stick to ur fav
there's not rlly anything u can do with one DAW u cant do with another DAW. it's just that there's varying degrees of difficulty.
drum programming is much easier in FL than in Pro Tools. creating/using busses is much easier in pro tools than in FL.
ok but here's the thing right. in pro tools its really annoying to program drums, right? I'd rate it like a 2/10 for drums. so if u were gonna use pro tools over FL that could create serious problems if u wanna program drums. But for most of the major DAWS there is nothing they're a 2/10 at. sure FL might be a 10/10 with drum programming and then Ableton is more like an 8/10, but that's not a huge difference. across the board yk everything's like somewhere between 7-10 out of 10.
so if what u wanna do is hip hop production, just pick one and get really good at it. that's way better than just being decent at all of them. not to mention that once ur familiar with like two of them u could operate basically all of them without too much difficulty
Panning law advantage and although they brought the effects back in 20 the old one just feels better
i seen the panning law setting
is panning better in 11 ?

u can still add skins its just REALLLY sketchy to go about doing it lmao

yeah i feel you, don't wanna stretch myself too thin
just maybe wanted to have fun playing around with them
its a nice switch up from fl

fair
I switch to pro tools whenever I engineer for ppl so I already get enough switching action lol im coooool on all that
fl 11 had the loop feature on the sequencer which made drum programming quick and easy but fl 12 removed it. that was a major part of most producer's workflow so that alone caused them to stick with fl 11. also people claimed that drums hit harder on fl 11. you could use custom skins for fl 11 and fl 12 removed that feature as well. fl 12 also crashed more often and for some it was unusable even after a few updates.

yeah i been goin to a studio with my friends and at first we were recording on pro tool but now we just use my laptop cause dealing with fl is just easier for us
Gonna get a MacBook soon to start learning to make beats
Not sure what DAW to get

yeah it's back in fl 20. I know alot of producers who were still using fl 11 finally upgraded to fl 20.

Logic is easiest with Mac cause it’s native

ngl yeah bruh pro tools is def the hardest DAW to learn. its also the hardest to install and pirate lol
but its also def the best for live recording tho so I don't think its a bad thing that its the default at most studios
