Why? It’s depressing and unfulfilling and just doing it for the money will give you golden handcuffs that will make you hate your life and be unable to do anything about it either
Where do I sign up?
I'm happy for you that you seen the light, OP. Hope you inspire many others with this to just invest into themselves and not sign away their soul.

I did way less than 40h the last 6 months.
It’s an individual thing to me, I just cannot tolerate something I don’t feel passionate about, no matter how long it is. And this was an accumulation of 8 months of not wanting to work here but being a coward about quitting because the pay was so good and it’s scary to walk the path of entrepreneurship. So I got to a place where I literally couldn’t open my laptop. It was really bad.
You never wanna have your passion sucked out of you. That's death
I will be different. I’ll never mistreat people. I don’t even want to raise investment funding so I’m not beholden to those scummy investors.
I can only hope so. Good luck.
Yeah sorry I was so annoying with that s***. It’s liberating to finally do it, and in the most optimal way with securing a severance package as well.
I won’t disappoint
I forgot you were waiting for your severance too
If your job actually gave you that raise would you have folded tho
What are you actually interested in doing? What are you passionate about? Tell me that first
I would like to be able to code well enough that I can properly utilize the skillset to build what I want.
I have ideas, like websites and tools that I could use coding for.
I don't want to spill the beans but there is a couple projects I've thought about that would make for good business ventures.
It wouldn't just be for money, I could use it to integrate my own interests into businesses for myself.
Coding at a software company could be a job I use to make ends meet In an office where im not tearing my body apart doing manual labor like my parents did and then use these skills to build projects that I want in my off-time.
These types of jobs pay very well even in my low income area. So learning how to code on a professional level would be invaluable for me.
I wouldn't have a mindless cog in the wheel for long, and while I am I would at least be financially stable in the short term while I work on my passion projects.
@op if you need a janitor, I clean a meeean bathroom floor
Just do it. The 1% has tricked us by instilling fear that we’re not capable of the same things they are and we should always seek security. If you’re hardworking and have determination, you can achieve anything. F*** these shackles.
Agreed. I don't have the safety to do so yet since I'm only on my first real job, but in a few years hopefully I'll be in a similar spot to you and can leave
I’m not passionate about my job either but I stick with it. I make more than 250k and work less than 40 hrs a week tho
To me a job just makes you money. Idc about being passionate about stuff. Only thing I’m passionate about is not working lol
I feel you tho if it was literally f***ing with your mental or something. You been pump faking on starting a business for like a year now so good to see you take the first step.
