I like this type of music but let’s be real man, none of these niggas hold a candle to actual goat tier rappers.

these niggas make music that makes me happy

this would go so hard in the club

I grew up on Chief Keef so this not really all that to me.

Last nigga to really innovate in the underground as a rapper was Summrs from like 3-4 years ago

Raping the culture is an insane overreaction lmaooooo. Y’all let Tyler, a man whos early work was literally catered to white people, gas you up. There’s as many white people that permeate hip hop as there were when I started listening and next to none have impacted culture good or bad

As you said, YNS does reach out and talk to artists who coalesce with his worldview. He also works with Complex who don't do that. They have to lock onto whatever is popular to stay afloat. You have to do that for the attention economy. That's the issue. His personal principles are never going to outpace these hot take yes men. There's hardly any institutional media left either. Podcast clips and streamers run rap

Tyler gave props to DJ Quik and acted like them not reporting that was the issue. I'm sure Ian likes lots of rappers we all like. Who is Tyler positively supporting these days that speaks to this generation? Teezo Touchdown? Tyler himself has so many fans who "grew out of rap" it's hard to count. And the people he brought into rap were never here to stay.

You can't change anything with outrage. Your attention is the thing driving trends and you have to direct it to s*** you like. And I haven't written this much about an album I like in a while. It's very hard to do. YNS is good at that tho. He's def the change he wishes to see in the world.

Tyler is not. He wears fashion brands all the time I'm sure. He's gotta do the same publicity for the rappers he thinks represent what he likes.

He literally shouts out Griselda, Gibbs, Greedo, etc all the time lol again it’s the people that this site considers “neo-dust”

  • insertcoolnamehere

I said in that ian thread that tyler does an end of the year top 10 albums and songs of the year. He literally ranted and raved about paris texas nuwhip for days on his ig lol.

But when he does that and talks about music, ktt2 says he comes off pretentious.

    exactly lmaooo

I think Earl and Slums mutually benefited from all of that. He found a new direction and all those guys found audiences. MIKE especially.

Tyler is also a producer and a music video director. Who's he sending beats? Is he shooting anyone's videos?

Say you want more DJ Quiks and only put on Teezo rockstar. Doesn't track

Tyler sends beats to almost everyone. Their labels don’t allow them to use them a lot of the time. If it was up to him, Tyler would have produced so many rapper’s albums by now
