ive been listening to multiple albums every single day of my life at the very least since i was 14 years old. i turned 29 last week. there was never an extended period of 'yep i think im done with this music s***' in all the years of listening to albums day in and day out

its a pure f***ing illusion that music not being appealing to you is somehow music's fault

Na I f*** with music forever but if you talking about the newer artist than yeah I find myself Less and less looking for new artist because in my eyes no one is doing anything new it’s all been done before

"The peak age for discovering new music, the results suggested, was 24. This is when 75% of respondents said they listened to 10 or more new tracks a week, and 64% said they sought out five new artists per month. After this, though, it seems people's ability to keep up with music trends peters off."

music bad now? groundbreaking thread idea.

  • Sometimes feels like that. I don't get excited over new releases like that, but I do always stumble upon new great new projects.

How over moderated this site has become has also contributed to my waning interest. This site used to be fun place to discuss music but the mods smoke so much d*** I barely even like to interact on here.

  • You most only listen to pop music! Lots of great music out there!

  • Nov 12, 2024

As per this discussion, it is clear that music as a whole is going down. And not just music itself but all genres of entertainment like movies tv shows video games etc.

Could this be a signal of the decline of culture in general or something more sinister is afoot?

Only time will tell + a frank ocean album

  • It has not been the best of times when it comes to the overall quality in the scene. But we will be back one day.

    DUMMIE

What year did it peak and what year did you graduate high school

2011 was the year music peaked

Though I think artists of that "class" have either not made much music, music has declined, and/or is making better music than at that time

NxWorries - Why Lawd! dropped this year so idk what you talkin bout
