u ok jayjust a real example from my perspective. lost some people very close to me this year unexpectedly. stopped using social media and messaging almost anybody back except very close friends for a couple weeks. it was ok that i did that. some people were still around when i was ready to come back, some not. my boundaries are completely valid. other people's are too if they decide it's too much. it's just how relationships work. all this applies especially to anyone i was in the talking stage with.

Condolences for what you went through but having a traumatic event happen to you is a generally an exception to this conversation. Even then, what you’re communicating by not responding for weeks is that you’re not in the right headspace for a new relationship. Which was probably true and is totally reasonable and fine.
All I’m saying is if somebody constantly doesn’t respond for long periods of time, then they’re most likely not interested in a relationship, whatever the reason might be

There are women out there who genuinely believe in carefully choosing one or two guys to seriously date and evaluate a relationship with and those are the ones you go for when dating for something serious.
Don’t ever give into demand or supply in life. If there was only one choice given to me and I felt it wasn’t matching to my worth, I’m not taking it. Yes, women will naturally have more options. But as a man, there isn’t anything more empowering than knowing your worth. I’ve rejected women when I’ve had 10 others texting me and I’ve rejected women when I’ve had no options and gone on a drought for 6 months after. Inner strength is the greatest asset of all
I imagine it would take a few months and a lot of link-ups to decide if you want to seriously cut everyone to solo in on one person right?
I mean everyone is different but I think you can be looking for more than something casual and still move like that

Only weird thing you did was unsend your messages, that seems a bit too much work when you could've just blocked. But if you're not talking to this girl again, it doesn't matter anyways. A lot of people take rejection worse, so this was a pretty tame way to disengage.
