I believe in god but i don't follow any religion by their given book. I just try to be a good person everyday the best way possible

That's all we really have control over at the start of the day

Agree 100%. It's just conflicting growing up without any religion, then finding oneness and building a foundation of God as people/nature/the universe not bound to religion... then seeing friends and artists I'm heavily influenced by find themselves more than than I have through religion

I grew up in church and went to Christian schools up until 6th grade, by the time I was 12 I was always questioning what I was being taught and I really lost my relationship with Christ when a mentor/good friend of mine told me I was going to hell because I would question things said in the Bible. I’ve been much happier and healthier basing my life and actions off of my conscience as opposed to living according to the inconsistencies of the Bible. I know I’m not a bad person and I’ll be damned to let someone talk down on me because I have questions

Have you looked into the main religions? If so, what don't you agree with?

It's mainly the fact that the religion I've come across have basically said I'll go to hell if I'm not one of them, but I know that God wouldn't pick and choose humans like that if he was as pure as they claim.

That might not be the most informed statement but that's my earliest memory and feeling of religion and it's clearly had a lingering effect on me

Damn that's pretty much what happened to me. I always thought it was stupid to be looked down on for questioning. That will never be acceptable to me. You sound like you're looking at everything right, keep doing your thing king

  • You don’t need religion to find or feel god bro

Pray and talk to him like he really there with you

You will feel it in your heart and also see it

Never try to force a relationship with God

You can be a good person full of love and not believe in God

Maybe do research into different religions and see what works for you best

Or just take the best things of whatever religion you study up on and take that into how you live your life

I’m Christian and Jesus is my Lord and Savior. But at the end of the day, who gives a s*** if you believe in God or not. As long as you are a morally good person, that’s all I or anyone, should care about.
