that ending was also pretty tragic too. kind of a depressing film. but the most realistic take IMO on how we'd try to interact with Aliens if they did descend upon us
Well I mean those aliens were actively trying to communicate, give knowledge. The only barrier for much of the world was fear (I don’t blame them there’s no telling what would happen) they were benevolent creatures from what the movie portrayed. I wanna watch it again lowkey

Yeah i had a re-watch just a few weeks ago. That twist didn't hit as hard obv, but it definitely changed my viewing experience the second time around.
