Once youre really huge its not really lopsided one or the other

But also lets not pretend Drake hasnt had albums recently that werent recieved well nor cared for much

DLDT & (even tho its one of my personal favs) Honestly Nevermind did not do normal Drake numbers

The collab with 21 was easily forgotten minus a few songs

Its just that Drake hasnt had a string of flops

Once something he drops is considered even the slightest lukewarm he has so far come back with something more agreeable/liked right after that restarts the process

Also lets not forget the gigantic promo & media machine behind him, but even besides that - i think not having a string of mutually agreed flops one after the other is what keeps him in overall, plus staying omnipresent in the public

These 3 things are why imo

I dont think Drakes popularity would sway majorly unless he one: has multiple "trash" projects in a row like two or three - or two: he takes a realitively long break completely. 2 years+ which is probably why he has never taken a break since NWTS

this underdog mentality drake stans have adopted is so mind boggling

I think it’s more so just that positive stuff doesn’t get platform as much as negative hot takes do

Plus, most people just enjoy their favs and go about their day. Getting on Twitter or forums to discuss music is actually in the minority

No one has adopted that mentality. I don't know where in the world you get that from. It just makes no sense to us why the same people keep repeating they hate his music every time a project releases.. Why spend all your time repetitively hating on someone when you could be investing your time into something different. How does benefit people lives to spew hatred all the time?

nobody actively hates Drake, and if they do it’s probably some dude that’s way too invested into celebrities, they just don’t like his stuff and that’s it

Im not talking about hating Drake personally. Im talking about hating his music. I dont know where you get that other angle from. My question is still the same, If Drake music doesnt do it for people anymore, why come back to that well and repeat yourself over again. its maddening. Hes clearly not the artist people fell in love with, so why stay around. I personally don't give an opinion on artists whos music I dont like or listen. I keep it moving.

Why are you acting like Drake did this? He ain’t never do that. Second only reason Drake doing the billboard record breaks he been doing is because of how streaming changed the charts.

It was all fun and games then but apparently FATD is where people draw the line lol.

Some critics have literally let the cat out of the bag about the DEATH THREATS they received from stans of different artists(usually Pop fans).

That to me is just insane.......I mean it's not like Metracritic's putting food on the table or blackballing the artist.

It's even crazier to me how Drake stans used to be so chill on KTT during the CLB rollout and how the Ye stans were often the parasocial type who often gave Ye the Messiah treatment and hated on all his "opps" like Drake(before Larry Hoover), Kim, Pete, etc. just because Kanye did.

Now, that s*** has died down but now Drake stans are getting to that level and it's just so unbecoming of them. I dunno what happened fam.
