My honest take
I think we’ve done about the same as past empires on a theoretical level.
However, the psychological and social conditions surrounding what we’ve done will make us unique
1. The gross materialism of capital and its absolute lack of ideals
2. The institutional ignorance of the empirical narratives that provided consciousness to our more bad actions
Are two unique conditions to the American empire that really might deter anyone from absolving it in the future the same way we do Egypt and Rome
