there is a lot to detail, i’m definitely not the person but there are many eco and social problems ready to arise due to all this cryptocurrency s***e, harddrive material shortages / countries starting to protect their sources .. Dont Look Up’s plotline about them needing to mine the asteroid’s rare materials is rooted in truth, the new PS5 and XBOX had immediate shortages that neither company could do ANYTHING about, leaving ppl unable to even purchase one of em for over a year after launch. This is just the beginning and NFTs / digital currency & mining in general is speeding things up TREMENDOUSLY

big statement with nothing to back it up, animal hating f***run the numbers and compare it to emissions made by major corporations and plenty of countries around the world and it becomes pretty evident that while sure crypto isn't particularly environmentally friendly it's a VERY small blip on the list of things negatively impacting the environment

governments and news organizations pointing the finger at crypto for hurting the environment while supporting corporations and systems that do so much worse is just ridiculous. it's on the same level of those same governments and organizations destroying the environment and then asking the average household to try to lower their carbon footprint. if every household's carbon footprint was completely erased it still wouldn't do s*** to save the planet if corporations and governments didn't change.

digital money introduced at a time when computer chips are starting to clearly become a finite material and rapidly struggling production for CPUs increases, while the whole process of cryptocurrency uses so much power it wears down and breaks computer parts much faster
