Fellow old ppl. There are plenty of ways to stretch each muscle however, get used to NOT doing the bent over to toe touch stretch or even the sit and reach stretch for your hamstrings. The bend this creates in your low spine actually damages the disks between the vertebrae if you don’t do the stretches correctly.
Safest hamstrings stretches are laying supine and pulling your straight leg to your body with a belt or rope. Another is standing up and placing 1 leg on a bench or box and leaning forward.
