The last 10 years have actually been great for Wes tbh, Moonrise Kingdom/Grand Budapest Hotel/Isle of Dogs is a legit run and there is some variety happening too

yeah tbh I think its cause his style and humor are so similar people feel like he makes the same movie but people dont realize most of his films are based off of novels and other works

fantastic mr fox one of the funniest movies ive ever watched

his movies always seem like he crawls up his own ass at first (self conscious cinematography, very sarcastic humor, etc) but there's almost always a deep humanity and sadness to them.

The only Wes Anderson movie I watched in full was this Luke Wilson and Gwenyth Paltrow movie a few years ago. Nasty Nate ass nigga watched too much Sisloveme and was tryna f*** his stepsister. I mean I know it’s Gwenyth Paltrow but still you can’t be that h**** nigga

Regardless, I couldn’t stop watching. Ended up being a nice lol movie I still don’t know what it was called to this day

His movies are aesthetically pleasing but that's all imo. I haven't gotten invested in too many of the stories, although at the same time it's probably been 5 years since I've even seen one of his movies so maybe it'd be worth watching one again at some point

I think it's because he lacks diversity in his films and maybe the people of color actors he does get in his movies usually play small roles that can deemed as a "prop".
