Only seen a few of his movies, how is he racist ?
Always white lead characters in foreign areas where people of color in those movies are relegated to minor characters who are there to be the butt of a joke or maligned by white characters
Zero in Grand Budapest Hotel is used for nothing more than to have Fiennes be racist af towards and then love him as his servant essentially. It’s some kinda DW Griffith type s*** except atleast Griffith had the balls to make a black person a lead once.
Isle of Dogs was the most wholesome flick of 2018. But honestly...fuck det nigga Wes Anderson I never been impressed with his movies
Grand Budapest was the end of his career as far as I’m concerned. He obviously doesn’t care about developing his “humor” in any way
It is what it is
Like most prolific directors, if you don’t like their style you won’t like their movies

the thing is i liked his earlier stuff but for a long time i feel like he's locked himself into doing the same thing. i don't see any growth.
I’ve enjoyed how Mr. Anderson has created and perfected his craft over the years.
His color palette, camera pans, sequences, montages, references to older films etc.
GBH is exactly that. He’s become a one trick pony but his films are fn dope bc of that lol
This dude has been making the same f***ing movie for almost 20 years now. The last thing I dug was Fantastic Mr Fox.
I saw the trailer for his new film and rolled my eyes - centre framed shots, quirky deadpan emotional-less characters/acting, whimsical music, distinct color palattes etc. it's the same thing he's done a million times before.
Is there any other director who's this far up his own ass?
FYI Rushmore is one of my fav films of all time
Big facts!!!

Real for Rushmore, it's one of my favorite movies too.
I have a Wes Anderson dedicated tattoo sleeve so I may have to disagree. Although I haven’t added a movie to it since Moonrise.
