Essentially, you having black skin or other qualities that are attributed to people of African descent has, inherently, nothing to do with qualities you possess as a human with those traits within a social structure.

These qualities attributed to you as a black person are a result of the system we exist in classifying people based on genetics and then assuming these people have inherent qualities, which is contradictory and just not scientifically correct

I mean in a sense yeah you are following that social construct, since (assuming you're from the US) the one drop rule was socially constructes based on the idea that the white race is "pure". But even if you said "oh I'm not black I'm Jamaican, Chinese and Panamanian", it wouldn't make the social construct not apply to you, since as a social construct, it's about how society at large views you. So if you pass as black, your relation to race doesn't change much in how you are treated (even though your background does have other effects).

I'm kinda rambling here but in short since a social construct is by definition about how society at large views something, your own personal attitude has no real effect about where you fit in the definition of said social construct if that makes sense
