Jewish in the mainstream sense is an ethno-religion. They are “white” but more specifically they aren’t exclusively european. Dna testing shows Ashkenazi and sephardic jews are around 50% west Asian origins on average ancestry wise, while the rest being a mix of Southern European and western european.

But like anything there are exceptions. The ancestors of european jews (the ashkenazis and sephardics) migrated from the middle east and northern africa centuries ago but not everyone left.

There are still indigenous middle eastern jews all over the region

Then there are ethiopian jews as well. There have been black jews in the regions of subsaharan africa that always had contact with North Africa and the middle east (think ethiopia, sudan, mauritania, even as far south as Southern Africa) but generally the rise of islam and Christianity as the dominant religions in Africa converted these communities but ethiopian jews are one of the main exceptions

A lot of us are—but again that’s due to the historic displacement of Jews. Up until the after holocaust there was just about no place Jews were able to stick long term. Like for thousands of years. We have certainly been white washed into being considered an “ethnicity” or whatever, but again it’s mostly due to displacement
